New year, new website!

This overhaul was long overdue.

Since 2009 I’ve had “pcmills.com” — hosted on Tripod, administered by Lycos, (do either of those companies still exist?) built with my very limited HTML skills, and featuring a sheet music store for which I manually filled every order. Every time someone bought a song, I’d get a notification from PayPal and I’d be like Mrs. Lovett — “A customer…!” (Don’t worry—if you want to delight me, Lovett-style, pcmills.com will live on for a while longer, until I’m sure that this new site is working.) But one of the major motives for the overhaul was having a store that could fill orders automatically.

This site is built with Squarespace, but still built by me with my limited know-how. My proudest accomplishment was tracking down a code hack that would allow the auto-playing slideshow on my front page. (Is it working?? The first time I built it, it vanished, taking a days-worth of page construction progress with it…) I’m sure there will be a lot of kinks still to be worked out. So, if anything is wonky on your browser or phone, let me know. And I will breathlessly await my first sheet music order to see if the store does indeed work by itself, as advertised. Fun fact — at the pcmills of old, my first sheet music customer (or “costumer,” perhaps) was none other than Benj Pasek!
